The creative process starts here with drawing the walls of your first room.
Getting Started
Step 2: Drawing Rooms
The Creative Process:
starts here with drawing the walls of your first room. You will find helpful narrated videos on our YouTube channel. If you prefer the written version, keep reading
Drawing Rooms:
After successfully creating your account you will now see your account screen. There are 2 ways to start designing.
1: On the bottom left of your screen, select the Create new order icon
You will see your personal information on the left and below that you will see the Design Editor icon, make that selection
Now you will see the 3D designer and can start editing your walls
2: From your account screen, select the 3D cube (highlighted below)
Now you will see the 3D designer and can start editing your walls
When you are ready to dimension your rooms, make sure you have:
*wall dimensions
*ceiling height
*doorways/openings dimensions & locations
*window dimensions & locations
*plumbing & ducting locations
*appliance locations
Now that you have all your basic dimensions we can insert them in the 3D designer. We are going to select Room Settings on the menu bar to your left
The width, height and depth auto populate. All you need to do is click on the number and edit it to match your room size. For practice let’s say your room is 15’5” x 10’6” with a 9’ ceiling height. You would enter 185” for the width, 126” for the depth & 108” for the height
Below, you will see the dimensions you entered and on the drawing itself you can see the updated information. Remember, designing is in inches
From here, the next step in inserting doors, windows and fixtures (including appliances & plumbing)
